You write that the county jailer is also acting as a police dispatcher for the county sheriff's office, for which latter work he receives $2,500 per year.
You ask whether or not that amount for dispatcher is to be applied to his statutory limitation of $23,184 for 1980. See § 246, Ky. Const., and KRS 64.527.
The answer is "yes". Coleman v. Hurst, 226 Ky. 501, 11 S.W.2d 133 (1928) 137, holds that the rubber dollar maximum applies annually to the same person for "public services", whether such services are rendered in one position or more than one.
