The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decisions last week:

1. 21-ORD-170 (In re: Glenn Hayden/Graves County Clerk)

Summary: The Graves County Clerk violated the Open Records Act when its response to a request to inspect records failed to cite an applicable exemption in support of its denial, as required under KRS 61.880(1).

2. 21-ORD-171 (In re: Glenn Odom/Kentucky State Penitentiary)

Summary: The Kentucky State Penitentiary did not violate the Open Records Act when it failed to provide records that do not exist.

3. 21-ORD-172 (In re: Dave Burke/Kenton County Detention Center)

Summary: The Kenton County Detention Center violated the Open Records Act when it failed to respond to the Appellant's request.
